ANIMAL ABUSE

There is More abuse on animal now then there ever was.The world we live in today there are a lot of neglect happening, one having to do with animals. This has to do with people not giving them the right care, which includes leaving them without food, shelter or water. It could be something inside of the caretaker, that gives then the Crazy idea to neglect animals . Their life style might not be the best, something in their childhood might give them the intensions of doing the wrong thing. ``Purina developed the body condition, this help judge if the pet appearance is normal or not. emaciated: backbones, pelvic bones, are prominent from a distance, body fat is not visible and loss off muscle mass. very thin: ribs, backbones easily visible no palpable fat. heavy: heavy fat cover, palpable ribs . I think that neglect on animals should be handle in a different way and more people should care, because no animal should be abused and nothing happen to that person,animals are living things just like us, and should be treated like us. Abusing or neglecting  an animal shouldn't be a way of letting anger out an excuse of someones life shouldn't be a reason of doing bad things to an animal. Animals have feelings just live we do, they get emotional,  they want to be happy. They may be sad people that are abusing them. People obviously don't care about anyones life but their own. They should be put in jail. if you buy a pet you should always and remain to take care of it with love as if it was a child. there are a lot of animals getting put into shelters and neglect homes because of the bad things their owner has done to them. They also buy pets and can`t afford them so the animal ends up on the street alone and looking for a home ,food and some one to care for them .

Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene top news story or 2011. Hurricane Irene was one of the top ten most destructive and deadly hurricanes in the  United States since 1980.  It was not as powerful as many people has  predicted, the storm still killed at least 27 people along its path from the Caribbean to the eastern seaboard. Transportation was shut down all along the east coast, stranding residents and tourists in shelters, airports, and train stations. More than 5.8 million customers lost electricity, thousands of flights were canceled, flooding washed out roads and destroyed homes, and evacuation orders were issued for hundreds of thousands. Now my thoughts on Hurricane Irene is that it was very scary, my family had to come up to our house because they live right across the street from a beach.  Before they came they had to board up there house it wood and all this other stuff because they got told they needed to evacuate ASAP.Once they were done packing they drove and waited for many hours just to get to my house.After all this they went back to Jersey and there house was a little messed up but it wasn’t as bad as everyone thought. I also think that if this happens again it might be 10 times worse then it was before. But i hope it dont happen again because it made the neighborhood and many other places look horrible.

Condoms in School

On Monday in Mr. Petro`s class we read and discussed an article about "Plan B" . What Plan B is a pill that is like a birth control that you can take. It takes up to 72 hours after having intercourse to prevent you from being pregnant .  Also in this article the president and other people discusses weather they want to make it over the counter or not . Their decision was that you must be 17 years or older to buy it with out an adult.Which this leads me to say that I think we should have condoms in schools. Why i think we should have condoms in school is because all high school student or teenagers should learn the proper way and the reasons why they are useful to students and all other people that are having any kind or sexual intercourse. I think that if they taught  students and teens how to use them and why there would be less teen pregnancy and hopefully less STD and diseases. Maybe they should have a class that's like a health class that you learn about sexual intercourse and the diseases so student understand why its so important to use safety and be safe, and not have to worry about being teen parents and having a STD or something like that. Also i think condoms are a better way to prevent pregnancy because pill may do bad things to your body.
